Utharadesam' is a media organisation established in 1982. It provided a sense of direction to the struggle which culminated in the formation of Kasaragod district in 1984.

Though it’s an organisation with a long history , we at Uthardesam have always been in tune with the times. We have rediscovered ourselves according to the changing preferences and demographics. We have branched out to various means of disseminating and providing verified news. Our success story lies in understanding the changing needs of the time & people.

We reach and influence, directly or indirectly, majority of estimated 13 lakhs population of the district along with estimated 5 lakhs NRI of Kasaragod origin. With a long heritage and a reputation for unbiased and verified news, we are ever present in the socio- cultural and business spheres of the land.

Even though it’s footprint is mainly on local news from North Kerala, it also covers General News, Entertainment, Sports & Cookery stories.
